Trust in Gods plan and to Him goes all the glory!

What a night! After a dismal qualifying effort and working the rest of the bugs out, we were able to drive up from 6th to finish 2nd and regain the points lead! 🏁

We dodged mishaps and had an epic last lap shoot out with Chase Schubert!

Hats off to the HMP Oval Track crew and emergency responders. Happy to hear everyone is alright after some hard hits.

I was more ticked off leaving the track last night than I think I may have ever been.

I also know that when that happens to say nothing, look at all the information and look for what can be learned.

These last two races have been heartbreakers but there’s an opportunity and a lesson in everything.

Trust Gods plan and keep going.

I’m going to fix this. I’m going to show my kids that when the worst happens, you work harder. It is rarely, if ever “easy”. You don’t quit and you learn what you can from it, even when it’s hard.

I don’t know what next year holds, I don’t know where we’ll be in “points”, but I know what the next three races will be and I know what they need to see get done in two weeks. That’s what they are going to see.

Final championship standings from Mobile International Speedway, following the Lee Fields Memorial Race. Made up points in qualifying with my personal best lap at this track. Made up 2 more points in the feature but came up 1 short.

Thank you Corey Winne for being my eyes in the sky and working your tail off this weekend. We didn’t leave anything on the table and gave it everything! From trailer tire blow outs to watching my six, you were a rockstar💪

Thank you to my family who supported me racing out of state and being away from them for 3 days, 5 times this year as well as hours and hours of prep, repair and maintenance required throughout the week. They pray for me, check on me, encourage me and pick me up.

This past Saturday, my daughter Ella collected rocks from the pots at the HMP Oval Track.
She has spent the last two days making me a Racing Rocks trophy!
I love her creativity and thoughtfulness, she is such an amazing little girl!

Old Johnny 5 was alive this weekend.
I’m so very blessed to be able to do this. Praise God for all He has done in my life!

It looks like there will be a shootout for the championship in Alabama in two weeks, but before that we are going to focus on extending our points lead at the HMP Oval Track next weekend! 🏁

Heard there’s a race going on this weekend. Might swing by and check it out. 🏁

Not the night we were hoping for. Came and ran my fastest laps ever. A late race incident broke the right front tie rod and what could have been a solid second and a gain in points just slipped away.

I did finish the last four laps on this half mile with only the left front tie rod and the car was a handful and it sucked watching the field pull away.

I’m going to leave here knowing that I’ve gotten faster every single time I’ve been here and there’s a lot of work to do but I’m looking forward to doing it and improving even more. 🏁

Locked and loaded for the RaceOn's Grass Roots Roundup this Saturday at the HMP Oval Track 🏁

Came up just a little short but the passes were clean and the racing was tight, no complaints from the MichTex Motorsports camp. Second place in the Wild West Motoplex #5.

About Brian Benedict

The world of professional racing isn’t an easy one. It’s a full-time commitment requiring personal sacrifice and a dedication to preparation. Brian Benedict began to form his incredible work ethic at a young age (10), spending time outside school and on the weekends practicing in pursuit of the ultimate goal: to compete at the top level as a professional Racecar Driver.
In recent years Brian has been able to win regional championships in multiple forms of auto racing, becoming one of the only individuals to win a season championship on dirt oval, asphalt oval, and road course venues in the same year!
